The Heart of Teaching: Or, What Teachers Don’t Talk About

Interactive one-day and two-day workshops and seminars for teachers of the performing arts.  These workshops examine many ofthe questions that teachers often grapple with—and worry about at night—but rarely get to talk about.  Conundrums like:

  • How do we deal with students who really push our buttons?
  • What do we do with our aggressive and sexual reactions toward students?
  • What kind of feedback is—and is not—helpful?
  • What do we do with racial issues?
  • How do we relate to silent students?
  • Does grading make sense?
